I had recently purchased a TSR3 driver head and was looking for confirmation that my old TS3 fitted shaft was still the correct one. Custom Lab retro driver analysis was therefore just what I needed. After the initial swing data analysis with my existing head and shaft a number of alternative shafts were tried. The fitter, Patrick, could not have been more helpful nor knowledgeable and his explanations on ‘ the why he was trying what he was doing’ provided further confirmation that he was fitting me with the right shaft for my swing dynamics. In the end my solution that produced the best numbers was nothing more than just a slightly lighter weight on the rear of my driver head with my original shaft. All this for just £15. I can not recommend Custom Lab highly enough for unbiased advice and knowledgeable custom fitting for me and my swing dynamics. I did not feel at any point it was going to be a sell of an expensive retro shaft. It was absolutely just all about what worked best for me. Whether it be for some new equipment or a retro fit of your existing kit then I would not hesitate to go back to Custom Lab. I have been to all of the major OEMs for a fitting over the years and I would rate Custom Lab as good, if not better, than any of them

Had an excellent afternoon getting fitted for a full bag customlabgolf really opened my eyes to how having the right club can be a game changer I would highly recommend them the only thing I would put in the suggestion box is drink/food facilities as it a long time to go without thanks again looking forward to getting my new custom clubs and getting out on the course

A really great fitting experience, Tom worked through every shaft type and every driver head combination from all the big brands. I was led by his experience and the numbers ending up with a combination I would have never chosen off the shelf. Performance gains were great I can’t wait to take this to the course.

Had such a great fitting here. I was apprehensive thinking it would be sales driven like some others I have been to, but it’s completely the opposite. The setup is nice and relaxed. It’s great getting to try out all the options rather than just 2/3 of the main manufacturers. Tom is super knowledgeable about everything golf and he talked me through every aspect of the fitting, explaining what each change or tweak should achieve. I took the results home with me and mulled over them for a few weeks, then set up a second visit to be 100% sure I was getting the right clubs. Tom happily went over everything again with me and I got the same results the second time. The final price for my irons was great too and I can’t wait to receive them!

Had a great club fitting session with Tom Mead at Custom Lab Golf in Hitchin (Aug 24). We spent over two hours ‘homing in’ on the best combination of club dimensions/ lengths/ lie angle etc and shaft material/ weight that really suited my swing style and ability ( or lack of 🥴). By the end I was genuinely hitting the ball better, further and with considerably less dispersion than with my existing clubs. Hope this translates onto the course! Tom was very knowledgeable and nothing was too much trouble for him. Also, he was very honest in recommending the clubs in my existing bag that didn’t need changing and would complement any potential new upgrades. Very impressed and highly recommended if you’d like to find out if your existing clubs are holding your game back 👍.
